WHAT WE DO

We support children and teenagers to grow into healthy, responsible adults who can provide for themselves in their daily needs. We stimulate the self-development of children and young people through love and attention. We offer several projects in which they can orient themselves and develop under the guidance of professionals. We apply five core values.

Safety: At Niños del Futuro, we provide children and young people with a safe space (the community center) where they can engage in activities, reducing their time spent on the streets. Additionally, we offer security to ensure their safety. Our center is a place where they can be themselves, feel secure among others, and develop at their own pace. This fosters a sense of community and social control.

Self-love: We believe it's crucial for children to recognize their own potential, understand their strengths and qualities, learn self-care, set boundaries, understand their identity, and, most importantly, learn to love themselves. Niños del Futuro organizes activities and personal conversations that address these themes.

Self-reliance: When children and teenagers are involved in Niños del Futuro, we assign them various tasks. This allows them to learn about responsibilities and how to care for themselves and others. They experience involvement and satisfaction, leading to increased self-confidence. In addition to enhancing their skills, we focus heavily on the social aspect, fostering their development as loving, grateful, and helpful individuals. We believe this combination strengthens their position in the labor market and society.

Involvement: We place great importance on establishing a personal bond with the children and young people. We are involved, interested, and attentive listeners. This builds trust and creates space for them to share their concerns and possibly seek solutions together. Our commitment extends beyond the projects to their home situations. Furthermore, we encourage mutual involvement among the children and young people, as well as between them and their neighbors.

Culture and Creativity: Through cultural and creative activities, courses, and outings, we provide children and young people with opportunities to broaden their horizons and discover new interests. Our aim is to bridge the gap between disadvantaged neighborhoods and other parts of the city/country, offering experiences that they may not have access to otherwise.
